Do boat rods come much shorter, i'm not sure, but you are so right about the belt.

Ok why don't you use a shorter ROD??? That big rod gives the fish way more leverage!I would also use a belt.

That really looks like fun. He did a good job because when you are fighting a fish that is your body weight plus an extra 100 pounds or more, that is good. Thanks Capt Chancey another awesome video.

for handfishing you have to have the right kind of line, it can't be too thin or else it will cut into your hands, but it can't be too thick that the fish would notice it.

and I thought I had my hands full trying to find a 55 pound King salmon on 12lb. line for an hour and a half and chasing a quarter mile down the river ,these things make them seem like little worthless trout,LOL
